Recife água - Recife water

Quando passo de bicicleta pela Ponte Antônio de Góes, no bairro do Pina, a enorme quantidade de água que forma a Bacia do Pina me espanta. A tal bacia é formada pelas águas dos rios Tejipió, Pina e Jordão e também é alimentada por um braço do Capibaribe. O Recife é água. Especialmente nos bairros mais centrais, para onde se olha se vê água; o Recife foi tomado às águas pelos holandeses, inicialmente. Essa é a foto de um Recife azul, azul da água e do céu limpo; somente uma estreita faixa de terra parece compor o Recife habitável. Eu não sei se gosto ou desgosto das torres gêmeas no canto direito da foto, porém por bem ou por mal elas se tornaram um marco na paisagem da cidade.

When I pass with my bike by the Bridge Antonio de Goes, in the neighborhood of Pina, the huge amount of water that forms the Pina Basin amazes me. The basin is formed by three rivers and is also powered by an arm of  river Capibaribe. Recife is water. Especially in more central quarters, we see water on all sides. Recife was stolen of waters by the Dutch. This is a photo of a blue Recife, the water and the sky cleared, only a narrow strip of land seems to compound the liveable Recife. I don't know if I like or dislike twin towers in right corner of picture, but for better or worse they have become a landmark in cityscape.
