Remains of the Slaughterhouse

The old Slaughterhouse of Recife was built from 1912 until 1919. In 1970, it has been disabled and abandoned. The material used in its construction came from Europe. However, today it is abandoned and destroyed. It is a shame.

Every day, I pass by this church, always by morning when the facade is in shadows. Today, cycling by Recife and Olinda with my friend Flávio, I see the church with sun in facade, plein soleil. Our Lady of Solitude Church.

Murillo La Greca Museum

I rode by bicycle at night then I noticed I never took a pic of Murillo La Greca Museum. It is a small museum. It shows the artworks of brazilian artist Murillo La Greca (1899 - 1985). Murillo gave all artworks to town of Recife before he dies. The  museum shows artworks of other artists too.

Samba School

In background, the building of a samba school in Olinda. Its name is Old Black Samba School. Samba schools parade by the town streets in Carnival. Old Blacks, in Brazil, are spirits of african slaves that bring messages of humility, wisdom and tolerance.
