Green & yellow

In green and yellow, this is the staircase of Normal School Pinto Júnior, in Recife. We can notice the yellow ink is anterior to green ink. The green is peeling by use and the yellow is showing up. Although of space shortage, there is a certain elegance in the curve to the left. If I'm not mistaken, the Normal School building was made in 1875, so it's 135 years old. However, the building is in terrible condition, like many others in town.

Em verde e amarelo, esta é a escada da Escola Normal Pinto Júnior em Recife. A gente pode notar que a tinta amarela é anterior à tinta verde. O verde está descascando pelo uso e deixando aparecer o amarelo. Apesar da exiguidade de espaço, existe uma certa elegância na curva que a escada faz ao se retorcer para a esquerda. Se não me engano, o edifício que abriga a Escola Normal foi construído em 1875, portanto já conta 135 anos. Entretanto, como tantos outros da cidade, está em péssimo estado de conservação.
