What a difference! Gray sky. Today, Saturday, Recife dawned rainy. In Northeast of Brazil, the rains are rare. When it rains, it's a rain heavy and fast. No beach, today.

Foggy Olinda / Olinda cinza

Olinda is six kilometers from Recife and it is a world heritage city. In this photo, on a rainy morning, you can see the lighthouse and the seminar's church. In the foreground, an ugly side of town with poles, wires and tv antennas.

Chuva - Rain

Sexta-feira de manhã, muita chuva em Recife. Depois das onze horas da manhã, a chuva parou. Então, fiz pequena caminhada pelo Parque 13 de Maio. Ruas molhadas e muitas poças de água. Em certos casos, a cidade fica mais bonita quando está molhada. Havia uma luminosidade difusa, causada pelo sol atrás das grossas nuvens brancas. Muitas pessoas almoçam ou lancham no parque, nos bancos ou em mesas debaixo das árvores. A cidade se move constantemente.

Friday morning, heavy rain in Recife. After eleven o'clock, the rain stopped. So I did a short walk in the 13 May Park, in downtown. Wet streets and many puddles. In some cases, the city is more beautiful when wet. There was a diffused light caused by the sun behind the thick white clouds. Many people lunch in the park, on benches or at tables under the trees. The city is moving constantly.
