In one of most crowded avenue of downtown, a store was covered by a veil. It seems contemporary art like art of the belgian artist Christo. And the cyclist moves on.
A lost house or a invisible house. You can not see this house, almost, because the large amount of wires. A nice house with a name: Village Mary of Angels. A house squeezed amongst buildings of downtown. The arrow indicates we are in the wrong path.;)).

This ferry crosses the river Timbó, between the towns Paulista and Igarassu. These cities are in the Great Recife. Recife Metropolitan Area or Great Recife is formed by 14 towns with 3.700.000 inhabitants.
To it begins the week. Two views of the Parque da Jaqueira (in english: Jackfruit Tree Park). This urban park has 70.000 square metres. There are walking lanes, bicycle lanes and many trees and shadow.
Holiday in Recife, a sunny day today. We walked by the town. This ancient house is very pretty, with tiles in the facade. The pole decreases the beauty of the place.
This is the home of a soccer team from Pernambuco, the Clube Náutico Capibaribe (Nautical Club). The team colors are red and white. In this pic, you can see the word "Capibaribe" only. Capibaribe is the name of the river that cuts Recife.
The day dawned rainy in Recife on Monday. I was in my bicycle, I stopped near Church of Our Lady of Solitude and I took this pic. This church has a dark facade, not common in Recife. Ugly, I guess. A worker passes by bicycle, a girl gets off the bus.
This is the entrance of the Zoo, in Recife. It's a place very crowded at Sunday. Parents take to children at Zoo, of course. Beside the animals, the park has well preserved native forest.
I was visiting a building under construction. I saw these workers focused in their activities and I took this picture. In my humble opinion, the brazilian construction technics are very very primitives.

What a difference! Gray sky. Today, Saturday, Recife dawned rainy. In Northeast of Brazil, the rains are rare. When it rains, it's a rain heavy and fast. No beach, today.
Yesterday, I was cycling among the neighborhoods of Torre and Parnamirim when I crossed the Capibaribe river. This river and its canals divides the town in small islands. This river is a very significant to the Recife's urban landscape.
Today, I wish show the blue sky of Recife, only. Then, in my way to the job, I took this pictures. This blue building calls me, always. The trees in other side of street are in harmony with the sky, I guess. A beautiful blue day.
The day is sunny and blue and warm in Recife. Eternal summer. Monotony. This picture shows a little part, very little, of one of public universities in Recife. This federal university is dedicated to not urban sciences like Agronomy, Fishing, Ocean studies, Veterinary. The university area is very very green, like you can see.
I never had seen herons on the Boa Viagem beach. There are many herons on the Capibaribe river always. I think the herons got tired to eat river fishes and come on to eat sea fishes.
This is the church of Matriz da Luz, a town near Recife, about 30km. We went to Matriz da Luz with our bicycles on Saturday. As you can see, Recife lives in a eternal summer.
Today, Sunday, is the beach day in Recife (and in Brazil, of course, a tropical country). This is the Boa Viagem beach, the principal beach of the town. Me and my wife walked in the beach this morning. Sun and blue sky.
