.

Cargo bikes in Recife. These bicycles carry all kinds of products. They moves the small business but the drivers hates them. Indeed, here, drivers hates all bicycles and pedestrians, drivers are wilds in Recife. Miseducation, of course.

Neither seems Recife

This picture is a illusion. The angle of the photo shows a quiet square, but this place is in the middle of very busy streets. This is the Maciel Pinheiro Square, in downtown.

Beauty or not

I was walking in downtown when I saw this abandoned building. The people uses its walls like a mural. It is responsibility of the governments to solve the problem of buildings like this. But, here, the governments don't moves themselves.

Cycleway

Recife has very few cycleways. The major does not work for people. This is a cycleway in a rich neighborhood of the town. In poor neighborhoods, cycleways does not exist.

A lot of rain. Our river is muddy and full still.

A beautiful place in my path to work. This yellow house is the "Casa dos Frios", the right place to find delicious cakes, pies, breads, sweets, wines, for example.

White Beetle

Beautiful, ancient. This Volkswagen Beetle, year 1969, 42 years old, was parking in my street.

Bicycles

.

In Brazil, only the poor inhabbitants uses bicycles for transportation. These bikes belongs to car washers, like that in background. We are wild and miseducated people, imho.

In Brazil, this Sunday is the mother's day.

After many rainy days, it is not raining, but our river is pretty full.

Garden

Day without rain. This is the garden of the building of eletricity company. This company is hated here, because of its bad services and expensive bills. Although, its garden is cool.

An ancient car in a square near my home. This car is an Aero Willys 1966. In that square, there is a cyclists group that cycling by night.

I don't understand. Why nobody takes care of this ancient house, abandoned at downtown?

It seems contemporary art

.

In one of most crowded avenue of downtown, a store was covered by a veil. It seems contemporary art like art of the belgian artist Christo. And the cyclist moves on.

Salesians of Don Bosco

Well, I was walking by the streets of downtown and I found this Church of Salesians, with blue sky and trees.

Invisible house

.

A lost house or a invisible house. You can not see this house, almost, because the large amount of wires. A nice house with a name: Village Mary of Angels. A house squeezed amongst buildings of downtown. The arrow indicates we are in the wrong path.;)).

Gay nightclub

.

This picture shows the program of parties in a gay nightclub located in Recife downtown. The titles of parties are very creative and funny (in portuguese)...;)).

Ferryboat

.

This ferry crosses the river Timbó, between the towns Paulista and Igarassu. These cities are in the Great Recife. Recife Metropolitan Area or Great Recife is formed by 14 towns with 3.700.000 inhabitants.

Park

.

To it begins the week. Two views of the Parque da Jaqueira (in english: Jackfruit Tree Park). This urban park has 70.000 square metres. There are walking lanes, bicycle lanes and many trees and shadow.

Today, my friends and I did a bike ride toward Maria Farinha Beach. It was a very funny day.

Holiday in Recife, a sunny day today. We walked by the town. This ancient house is very pretty, with tiles in the facade. The pole decreases the beauty of the place.

Today is holiday, we walked in Jaqueira Park and we found this pretty car. Happy Easter for all.

Very much rain at the afternoon

People from Recife with umbrellas, heavy rain at the afternoon.

Green

.

Here in Recife, the day dawned lightly rainy. I went to my work with my bicycle. The sky is mixed, clouds and blue sometimes.

Soccer team

.

This is the home of a soccer team from Pernambuco, the Clube Náutico Capibaribe (Nautical Club). The team colors are red and white. In this pic, you can see the word "Capibaribe" only. Capibaribe is the name of the river that cuts Recife.

Metropolis

One more rainy day, today. This neighborhood is Aflitos, something like "afflicted" in english. Recife grows frighteningly.

Solitude

The day dawned rainy in Recife on Monday. I was in my bicycle, I stopped near Church of Our Lady of Solitude and I took this pic. This church has a dark facade, not common in Recife. Ugly, I guess. A worker passes by bicycle, a girl gets off the bus.
