Former Street of Jews

This is one of the most ancient street of Recife. Nowadays, it's named Street of Good Jesus (Rua do Bom Jesus), but in past centuries it's named Street of Jews (Rua do Judeus) because there were in there a sinagogue. This is the Carnival decor placed in the street. The Carnival happens of march 5 to march 8.

Yesterday, we were in Olinda and we follow various bands and maracatus. Maracatu is a rhythm afro-brazilian. The Carnival begins Friday, March 4, but in Olinda the party already has begun.
